Abstract:
Mrs. Cecil Tidwell, of Elm Hill Pike, is a member of a pioneer family. Her grandfather was George Hamilton Page who was on the board of the subscriptions schools. Other pioneer Donelson families were the Nichols, Whitworths, McGavocks and Stewarts who lived on the river before Tennessee became a state.
